BPA bottle recall

Bisphenol A (BPA) has been linked to a number of health conditions in animals. Polycarbonate baby bottles, which contain BPA, make up about 90 percent of the bottle market. They are hard and clear and sometimes have the recycling symbols #7 or PC on the bottom. However, the absence of these marks does not guarantee the bottle has not been manufactured with BPA.

  • Long-term consequences ARE NOT known.
  • There are concerns about babies being exposed to BPA

To keep your child away from BPA:

  • Use Glass.
  • Seek out BPA-free plastic bottles.
  • Use bottles made of opaque plastic.
  • Opt for bottles that use BPA-free liners.

If you are using bottles made with BPA, do not microwave them or put them in the dishwasher and dispose of any scratched bottles or bottles with degrading plastic.
